Happy Father’s Day from a Seattle Family Photographer

Portrait of a father and the twins.  I created this image during recent family photography session.  Seth is a comedian from LA.  I don’t know when the lemons arrived during the photo session.  I think he brought them and nobody questioned it.  I did my work and he did his work, holding children lovingly and handing them lemons to hold and be intrigued with.  I think, the avocado was introduced first but it did not take.  The bottom line is:  Happy Father’s Day!  Let it be love and light!  Happy Solstice as well.  With much love from a Seattle Family Photographer!

Family photography is what I love to do and it happens to be my work!  I am a photographer specializing in spontaneous family portraits.  Photographing children and parents involves both the predictable and the unknown.  My objective in every photo session is to create images that display spontaneity while also expressing the beauty and temperament of the subject. I am not people-shy. I am agile, involved, and active throughout the session.  I focus on the unexpected, humorous, or touching moments that arise during a session.  This spontaneity naturally occurs but can also be instigated through direction by me, the photographer.  Thus I call my style “directed photojournalism”- a balance between the carefree and the guided, with attention to composition and the uniqueness of each subject. All sessions take place under natural light.

I wish you…

This is the image that I closed my busy season to as a Seattle Family Photographer. Now, the New Year 2016 is here.

“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art—write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.” ~ Neil Gaiman

The words I will live my 2016 by. Wishing you the same wholeheartedly.

Happy Holidays from a Seattle Family Photographer!

This is a time when clients send me their cards created with photos made during our family photography sessions.  With that stated I am pausing for just a bit with US champs of freestyle slalom for the observance of the Holiday time and Winter Solstice.  I welcome more light with each day from now on and gear up for a busy 2016.  But for now:  Happy Holidays from Anita Nowacka Photography!

While winter time offers marvelous light for portraits outside, the city however lends its walls for interesting and sometimes even magical backdrops.  With the perfect light, great subjects and fabulous colors of Seattle’s EMP Museum another winter family photo session was made.

Photography Cards

Holiday Family Portraits, Seattle, WA

Throughout the year I photograph families and this is the grand finale… when families send cards to me with photos that we created together.  This was a family that I photographed in New York in the heart of Central Park.  This memorable time was solidified with kind words and holiday wishes from this client delivered via snail mail.
