I’ve photographed weddings in Seattle for decades, and one of the highlights of my career was having my Telluride wedding coverage featured in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style. It was genuinely exciting to be recognized by such a prestigious publication.

What made that feature especially meaningful is that, while we both celebrate wedding photography, we represent two very different philosophies. Their world often showcases grand luxury, elaborate design, and meticulously curated elegance. I’m a different kind of wedding photographer. My work has always been rooted in something different: guided photojournalism. I create images that feel raw, spontaneous, and genuine, with a strong emphasis on natural light, outdoor settings, and the authentic environment surrounding the couple.

Rather than lavish ballrooms, I’m most at home photographing intimate spaces—whether that’s you sitting at the backyard table where you share your morning coffee, a downtown Seattle elopement, a windswept beach, a mountain landscape, or any place that holds genuine meaning in your life. The location doesn’t have to be grand; it simply has to be yours.

My focus has never been the spectacle—it’s the people. The fleeting glance, the unexpected laugh, the quiet tears, the imperfect moments that reveal genuine emotion. Those honest, unscripted interactions are what I believe become timeless photographs.

From Weddings to Elopements
I’d love to tell your story, whatever it looks like: a wedding surrounded by the people you love, or just the two of you eloping with your favorite dog and an officiant. And if you need a witness, I’ve got you covered. I’m happy to sign your marriage license—and I promise my signature will be quite an elegant addition to your important paperwork.
A 5 Star Review from Google
“I cannot even say enough good things about Anita! We decided to elope in Seattle. Anita agreed to take care of us on a short notice! She initiated several phone calls before our wedding date to ensure that she encompassed everything that was dear to us. It was important to me that my dog, who I just lost was included in our photos. Anita made sure to get photos of his urn against the city. She got photos of our dog. It was obvious she loves her craft and goes above and beyond for her clients! I would use her again and again. She was kind and sweet. She also got the photos to us in a day which was amazing! Thank you for caring about our day and the thinks that were so dear to us! I appreciate you so much!”
