Anita is a business portrait photographer creating head shots that have you looking your best

Your headshot is often the first impression a client, employer, or collaborator has of you — sometimes before they ever meet you in person. As a Seattle business portrait photographer, I help professionals, entrepreneurs, and teams put their best, most authentic selves forward with portraits that feel confident and approachable rather than stiff or overly corporate. Whether you need a single polished headshot for LinkedIn or a full team session for your company website, I bring the same natural-light, relaxed approach I use for all my portrait work.

“Great overall experience with business portraits. Anita communicated expectations clearly, helped plan clothing and props, was flexible with scheduling and location, and was easy to work with during the session. The photos came out great and were ready very promptly!”

Corporate & Team Headshots

For businesses that need consistency across a leadership page or staff directory, I offer on-location team headshot sessions right here in Seattle. I work efficiently to photograph each team member with a matching background and lighting setup, so your “About Us” page or company directory looks cohesive no matter how many people are on it. Sessions can be scheduled at your office, a nearby park, or my studio — whatever fits your team’s schedule and the look you’re going for.

Personal Branding Portraits

If you’re a consultant, realtor, coach, speaker, or founder, your portrait needs to do more than just show your face — it needs to communicate who you are and how you work. Personal branding sessions go beyond a single headshot: we build out a small library of images that show you in your element, whether that’s at your desk, meeting a client, or in an environment that reflects your work. These portraits are designed for use across your website, social media, press features, and speaker bios.

What to Expect at Your Session

Business portrait sessions typically run 30–60 minutes depending on how many looks or setups you need. We’ll talk beforehand about where the images will be used (LinkedIn, your website, print materials) so I can tailor the framing and style accordingly. I shoot primarily with natural light, which tends to photograph as more approachable and less “corporate stock photo” than heavy studio lighting — but studio setups are available on request for a more traditional, uniform look. You’ll receive a private online gallery to choose your favorites, with fast turnaround so you’re not waiting weeks to update your profile.

A 5 Star Google Review from Sara (not pictured below)

“I had the pleasure of working with Anita for professional headshots. She called me the day before to provide tips on attire that would photograph well and was so sweet about making sure I arrived fed, hydrated, and prepared for cold weather. On the day of the shoot, she instantly made me feel at ease with her encouragement and directions. I had 100% confidence in her as she continuously came up with ideas for backgrounds and poses. She delivered the photos soon afterwards as promised, and I couldn’t be more please with them. Anita is a professional through and through!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should a get a professional business portrait when anyone can take a photo today?

There are so many details that professional photographers address that the beginner and even intermediate photographer miss. Details we notice and even results that are subconscious for the viewer. In addition to lighting, professional photographers know the best angles, the best environments, and have the timing to shoot when your best expression is present. They catch clothing mishaps like unfolded collars, hair in your face, and background distractions. With all these extras covered and done right, the viewer who is choosing you to be a potential employee or hiring you for the project subconsciously conflates your eligibility with quality of the photo.

Why can’t I just use software or AI to touch up the photo?

It is now possible to do this, but some subtle yet crucial results could either be off or “too perfect” to the viewer. Software and AI add a generic, fake, and overly polished look to your business portrait that not only can look problematic technically, you are also crossing a line that reflects who you are. Presenting yourself to others with a portrait that is not realistically you, shows a dishonesty that the interviewer or potential boss will recognize early in to your in person meetings or video calls. A professional business portrait photographer captures your authentic self.

How often should I update my business portrait photo?

Every two to three years or when you change your look significantly. Such examples would be hairstyle change, adding or removing a beard, or new glasses.
