A special professional milestone for me today: a wedding I photographed was featured in The New York Times Vows.
The feature, “Meeting in Midlife, and Making a Dream Come True,” was published on September 25, 2026, and written by Louise Rafkin. It tells the story of Anna Kashner and Ronald Clark, who met later in life after both had already become parents.
I photographed Anna and Ron’s wedding at The Barn at Wilson Farm, and my photographs were included in the New York Times feature.
More Than a Wedding Photograph in the New York Times Vows Section
For me, this recognition is about more than the publication itself. What I value most about photographing people is capturing something genuine—the connection between people, personality, emotion, expression, and the small gestures that make an image feel personal.
That approach is at the heart of my photography in Seattle.
Although weddings are an important part of my work, I also photograph families, seniors, couples, professionals, and personal branding portraits throughout the Seattle area.
Whether I am photographing a wedding, a senior portrait session, or a professional portrait, my goal is the same: to create images that feel natural, distinctive, and genuinely connected to the person or people in front of my camera.
I’m very grateful to Anna and Ron for trusting me to photograph such an important part of their story, and very happy to see the work recognized by The New York Times.
